NEC

Mobile puzzle game where the environment, the shape where the ball is confined, has to be moved in order to get that said ball into a portal. Made with Unity.

It is a project made with a multidisciplinar team of 4 people. My duties where the technical aspects of the game, developing game features, UI, integrating art into the Unity engine, releases, etc. I was the only programmer. Also in this project I did game designer tasks with other team members, taking active part in the creative process and the decissions involving the game design of the game.

This project started when I camed out with the basic game mechanic idea and I explained to some friends in my university degree, my friends liked it so we decided to make a small prototype for a local game development contest in Barcelona. We spent 2 months developing the game, we ended up finalists in two categories and we won another contest for the game. The game was fun so Kerad Games approched to us to publish the game, we started talking with them about the idea but they wanted to switch the aesthetics of the game to a more futbolistic style, we worked for 3 months with them on different prototypes. After that time we couldn't arrive to an understanding, so we decided to work in making the game more appealing and changing it from horizontal to vertical layout.
